Dealers must tell you important things about a vehicle
BC law says that before you buy, you have the right to know important things about a vehicle.
The law requires a dealer to take reasonable steps to learn about the history of a vehicle and about its condition.
The dealer must tell you about any important information they discover about the vehicle before you buy it. This information can warn you about the possibility of hidden damage. This damage could affect the value of the vehicle. Important information must be shown on the sales agreement and the transfer document.
