Your dealer's licence does not show as Issued. There is a Fund that may help.
The VSA helps people with issues with currently licensed dealers. The VSA cannot help where there is no issued licence. You can find out the status of a dealer licence here.
If the VSA Online Search shows that your dealer licence status is cancelled, suspended, lapsed or not occupying premisses, you may have an option to recover your financial loss from the Motor Dealer Customer Compensation Fund (“Compensation Fund”). The money in the Compensation Fund comes from contributions made by all licensed dealers in BC.
The Compensation Fund compensates those who lost money because a dealer went out of business and failed to meet certain legal obligations.
